AR1000 Accessories

Introduction

The AR1000 comes with some standard accessories and you can purchase others

to enhance the unit. The accessories described here are those that generally come

with the AR1000 in the United States. These include a set of supplied nicad

batteries, an AC transformer power supply, a DC cigarette lighter power supply

for your car, a shoulder carrying strap, a metal belt clip, a vinyl carrying case, and

a standard rubber ducky antenna. Depending on where you purchased the

AR1000, parts of this section may not be applicable to you.

The basic unit, while self-contained, is just the start of your listening experience.

You can significantly enhance the effectiveness and pleasure of using this scanner

by understanding how to use the supplied accessories and by adding some new

ones to your collection. The source for the third-party accessories described in

this section can be found in the Appendix.
